As a child I loved to put puzzles together. My mosaic work is like covering a form with a puzzle. I started out being a potter and working with clay and all its glory. I love to collect beautiful China, and then process it into color shards, which I use in my work. I repurpose table ware. My connection with Lundberg glass has given me an opportunity to use phenomenal iridescent glass in my work.

Creating her artwork is a painstaking process. To begin, she starts “by bending rebar (a strong steel bar used to reinforce cement girders) into the shape. "I had to learn to weld so I could connect the pieces together.” Next, she wraps the frame in chicken wire to prepare it for stucco cementing. She then painstakingly breaks and applies mosaic shards, grouts the piece and water seals it.
