Roland Petersen
Roland Petersen was born in Endelave, Denmark in 1926. He studied at University of California at Berkeley earning a B.A. and M.A. He studied ceramics at California College of Arts and Crafts in Oakland. In Paris, Atelier 17 studying etching and color printing with Stanley Hayter. Islington Studio, London, the Print Workshop, London, and studied painting at the Hans Hoffman School in Provincetown, Massachusetts. He taught painting at Washington State University, printmaking at UC Berkeley, and painting and printmaking at US Davis. He won a Guggenheim Fellowship and a Fulbright Fellowship.
