The artist shows with John Pence Gallery in San Francisco, Winfield Gallery in Carmel, CA and Artists’ House Gallery in Philadelphia. He teaches painting and drawing at colleges in the San Francisco Bay Area as well as in New York City. He currently lives in Santa Cruz, CA.

His work is based in the academic tradition of the figure, and favors themes of the mythic, symbolic and heroic. He is primarily interested in depicting the human figure as an anatomical event, which houses the spirit of the human condition. He is also intrigued by the spiritual force implied in painting sweeping landscapes as well as the dark, somber mood of the Spanish tradition of still life painting.
