Carolyn Morris Bach

Carolyn Morris Bach

A graduate of Rhode Island School of Design, Carolyn Morris Bach lives in southern Rhode Island.

For 30 years, her work has developed along themes which are keyed to visual metaphors – often found in old iconographies representing the powers of sun, moon wind, rain, stones, plants and a selection of animal residents that determine the rural, non-industrial landscape.

Her work is widely collected both in America and abroad and recognized by several organizations with awards of merit from: Smithsonian Institute, American Craft Museum, Philadelphia Museum of Art (Women’s Committee) and a National Endowment for the Arts grant. Most recently, a Carolyn Morris Bach brooch was included in the book by Madeline Albright, Read My Pins. Brooches from her personal collection.
